The e-publication, Salt, 2023
The e-publication “No Further Records / Başka Kayda Rastlanmadı” produced by Salt within the scope of Reşad Ekrem Koçu and the Istanbul Encyclopaedia Archive is now available.
The historian and novelist Reşad Ekrem Koçu (1905-1975), in his encyclopaedia, which he began publishing in fascicles in 1944, created, in his own words, the “enormous register” of Istanbul. He recorded many aspects of the city, including people, places, structures, events, customs and legends. He continues to work on the Istanbul Encyclopaedia, which he says, “From now on, perhaps I will spend my life on it”, until the end of his life.
