“Oraya Kendimi Koydum / I Put Myself There” is a collective endeavour of 11 poets who draw their sources from the oral history narratives of many women in the genre of documentary poetry, which is rarely encountered in Turkey.
This work aims to bring the public together with the private; to make the oral history narratives of subaltern women, whose voices are suppressed in the masculine noise, audible through the possibilities of poetry.
